Crones -- IC Mailing List for the Circle of the Crone Covenant

About Crones
English (USA)

Unlike any of the other concerted efforts to establish a secure
communication network, the Acolytes rely on randomly shifting server
locations and mystic rituals to keep their wanderings on the Internet safe.

Between word of mouth, automated email messages, and other mundane means of
contact, the members of the Circle can always seem to find an online
gathering when they seek it out. There is rumor that a powerful member of
the Circle cast a ritual upon the Internet for her favored childe so that
the Acolytes could always find one another. This is, of course, a wild
rumor that few believe. Regardless of how much stock you put in the myth,
no one who is not a member of the Circle has infiltrated any of the chat
sessions between Acolytes. Much like all other forms of technology, it is
the young who benefit the most. Seldom does an ancient Crone decide to log
in and hang out.

Email Premises:

Emails between Acolytes happen at a growing frequency in the modern
age of technology. They are usually sent from temporary email addresses
that can be shifted around and deleted with ease. Much like the IRC
communications network, the Crones word of mouth and long practice of
remaining secret have given them uncanny instincts in the electronic world.
The younger members of the Circle have compiled a comprehensive list of
forwarding and routable email addresses for their fellow Acolytes. These
lists are represented in our game by the Crones@camarilla.white-wolf.com
email list. While the Invictus and the Carthians rely on super secure
technology, the Crones rely on misdirection and false communications. These
methods definitely benefit the younger members of the Circle, as the Elders
find themselves often having to ask a younger member of the covenant for
assistance.
